The “Golden Ring”, which originally included 8 towns, appeared in the 60s of the last century. The name was given by Yuri Alexandrovich Bychkov. He was a journalist in the newspaper "Soviet Culture" and was preparing an article about Suzdal. Bychkov was driving a car, but he saw a pointer to Ivanovo and decided to see that town as well. That is how the story began. From one town he drove to another, starting the route which would then be taken by millions of people.
Gradually, other beautiful Russian cities with their rich history and the Russian spirit were informally added to the Golden Ring. During the trip you can see majestic ancient cathedrals and get acquainted with traditional folk crafts. Of course, our route can not cover all the cities of the route, however, you will see the most outstanding of them.
