This is a classic program for Pskov region, 3 days in total. It includes Pskov, Izborsk, Pechora and Pushkin Mountains with their fortresses and monasteries, nature and literature, historical facts and legends.
The tour will suit every taste and age, it will show you not only main touristic sites, but also to find favorite places of your own, because there is a lot of free time.

10:00 - walking tour of Pskov
Pskov is a city that impresses everyone, who come here. You will visit the Pskov Kremlin, which is considered one of the largest preserved medieval fortresses in Europe, stroll along its walls and take pictures of the most beautiful views.
You will also see Pskov's “Pompei” excavated by archeologists after World War II - the amazing city of Dovmontov; the Trinity Cathedral, which is famous for its rarest iconostasis; the white-stone Pskov churches of the XV-XVI centuries, learn why the Pskovs revere Princess Olga and who “a skobar” is.
12:30 - free time. Lunch (not included).
08: 00–09: 00 - breakfast at the hotel.
09:30 - departure to the Pushkin Mountains (Mikhailovskoye estate, Trigorskoye, Svyatogorsky monastery - 120 km from Pskov). Lunch included.
After a visit to the museum-reserve "Mikhailovskoye", Pushkin's poetry, for sure, will become more understandable and closer to you. We will come to the poet's house, where the greatest works of Russian literature were created, see the “Onegin's bench” and the Kern alley. We will also go to the "Larin" - the estate of the Osipov-Wulfs, who were the closest friends of Alexander Pushkin.
And of course, we will come to the poet’s grave at the walls of the Assumption Church of the Svyatogorsk Monastery.
After 18:00 - return to Pskov, transfer to the hotel. Free time.
08:00–10:00 - breakfast at the hotel. Free time
12:00 – a trip to Izborsk and Pechora (Pskovo-Pechersky Monastery, Izborsk fortress, Slovenian Keys - 60 km from Pskov). Lunch included. You will see the area, "where the Russian land came from," with your own eyes, visit the only Russian monastery that has not interrupted its service for a single day since 1474. Once it was a fortress and more than 150 years successfully defended the Russian lands from the invasion of Germans, Poles and Swedes. Now it serves as an outpost of Orthodoxy on the border between Russia and the European Union. The most noble Russian families are buried in the caves of the monastery.
Our second destination is Izborsk. This is a museum-reserve with a 14th century fortress and the famous Truvor cross.
