Russian winter is legendary. Many tourists come here to see snow glittering in the sun and feel the frost on their cheeks. Some people, on the contrary, are afraid to get too cold here.
Both will like this tour, though. There is always something to do for everyone in Moscow; from the museums, art galleries, golden domes of Orthodox churches, observation desks to the nicest restaurants and winter amusements. For example, Moscow is where you find the largest skating rink in Europe.
The tour timeline is rather relaxing, in order to closely see all the main sights and have some free time in the evenings. Besides that, you will immerse yourself in Russian province living in Suzdal, one of the Golden Ring's cities. You can also see winter landscapes and visit traditional Russian bath.
The first must-see place is the Kremlin – the heart of Russian capital, reflecting the centuries-old history of and spiritual life of the country. Within the Kremlin you are invited to visit the Armory Chamber – a real treasury that displays historically valuable pieces such as royal clothing and armor, items made of silver and gold.
Another important tourist site is the St. Basil's Cathedral – the main temple of the capital.
Our plan for the evening is to visit GUM – the Department Store with its own rich history. It will impress you with incredible glass roof, numerous boutiques, Soviet-style cafes and other recreational facilities.
We will start the day with the Museum of Contemporary History, which comprises numerous collections of clothing, photography, documents, postcards, paintings, items of wood, metals etc. referred to the modern history of Russia.
Make sure that Moscow Metro is not only the means of transport, but the great architecture object.
Then we will go to the Museum of Cosmonautics, built to commemorate the Soviet Union's achievements in space exploration
If you are fond of winter sports, get ready to admire a huge skating rink in VDNKh (Exhibition of Economic Achievements). It is the largest exhibition complex in Russia and a perfect recreation area.
