The Park is located more than 200 km from Petrozavodsk. The center of the complex is a former marble quarry filled with groundwater, a cultural heritage object. The quarry operated until 1939 and then was flooded. Now it is a deep marble canyon, which now has a new life.
Attracting a huge number of tourists, the Marble Lake is famous for its steep shores stretching into the emerald clear water. Three once-famous Karelian paduns, Girvas, Kivach and Poor Porog, are located on Suna River. Suna itself is noteworthy, it surprises with its wayward character. Its calm areas are suddenly replaced by swirling rapids and more than 50 waterfalls.
Girvas (both a volcano and a waterfall) is beautiful at any time of the year. During the period of the spillway, it strikes with the power of the water flow, at other times it gives the opportunity to see one of the oldest volcanoes on the planet. Locals believe that this place has a special energy.
The Kivach reserve is one of the oldest in Russia and the first in the Republic of Karelia. The height of of the waterfall is 10.4 m, the length is about 170 m.

Night transfer to St. Petersburg;
Is it possible to see the real Russia visiting only Moscow and St. Petersburg? The answer is yes and no. In order to truly understand what Russia is, one should definitely go to the outlands for at least a few days. For this, we suggest the North of Russia, the Republic of Karelia.
Paying a visit to Talvi Ukko (the local Santa Claus), seeing the deer farm, riding sled dogs – this is only a small part of the program. All this while enjoying the beautiful Russian winter landscapes: high snow-covered pines, creaking snow and hopefully sunshine! The tour is ideal for travelling with kids
