Innopolis - the youngest and one of the few cities built from scratch in post-Soviet Russia (December 24, 2012).
One of the three science cities in Russian Federation (along with the Moscow region center Skolkovo and Koltsovo - Novosibirsk), created for the development of information technology and innovative high technologies.
Innopolis is located in Verkhneuslonsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan at the confluence of two rivers - the Volga and the Sviyagi. This is the first Russian city for IT professionals.
The concept of “Smart City” helps Innopolis to organize the infrastructure, business, education, city services and life of the inhabitants of Innopolis so that it is comfortable to live in an IT city.
In Innopolis daily are more than 3 thousand people. 150 companies are registered, 76 of them are residents and partners of the Innopolis SEZ. Rented more than 12 thousand square meters of real estate. The entire basic infrastructure was launched: 16 residential buildings, a kindergarten, a school, an IT lyceum, a medical and sports center. There is a post office, banks, supermarkets, a beauty salon, a car wash, a cafe, a bar and other city services.
The youngest city in Russia, which continues to be built 40 kilometers from Kazan, officially opened on June 9, 2015. The goal of Innopolis is to increase the contribution of the IT sector to the country's economy and to enable talents to realize themselves in Russia.
