Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg has traditionally been an area of industrial buildings and workshops.
However, now Vasilievsky Island is the cultural and business center of St. Petersburg.
The opening of the public space Sevkabel Port was an important stage of this process. The name is inherited from a large cable plant that has been operating here for many years. It was with the support of this plant that a new public space appeared on its territory.
Today it is one of the most welcoming and hospitable spaces on the island, and most importantly - one of the very few places in St. Petersburg where you can take a walk while enjoying the sea view. Sevkabel Port hosts festivals, exhibitions, markets and events.
