Aurora Cruiser
”Aurora” - a cruiser of the 1st rank of the Baltic fleet of the "Diana" type. Named in honor of the sailing frigate "Aurora", famous for the defense of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky during the Crimean War.

From September 2014 it was under repair in Kronstadt, after which on July 16, 2016 was returned back to the eternal parking at the Petrogradskaya Embankment. On the go Aurora or not, is still unknown.

The cruiser "Aurora" is an object of cultural heritage of the Russian Federation.

About the cruiser was filmed the cartoon "Aurora", it was also shown in the film «Cruiser Varyag». A number of songs are dedicated to "Aurora", it is also depicted on a variety of postage stamps, both Soviet and foreign. In addition, the image of the cruiser was minted on commemorative coins of 1967 in denominations of 10, 15 and 20 kopecks.
