There is an amazing structure in Moscow - a ring-house.
In the second half of the last century, the top leadership of the Soviet Union demanded that Soviet designs to create a unique building project for the city.
In those days, most of the architects were more focused on the design of Moscow Skyscrapers, and therefore the development of the concept for the construction of ring-houses was a breakthrough in the urban architecture of the time.
The first Ring House in Moscow was erected on Nezhinskaya Street, 13 in 1972. It has 26 entrances, 9 floors and 913 apartments.
After the end of the construction of a residential complex on Nezhinskaya, the project of which was considered successful, was decided to continue the construction of the ring-houses in Moscow.
Such a moment came in 1979, when at Dovzhenko street, house 6, not far from Poklonnaya Gora, a twin house was built (except for the fact that there were already 936 apartments).
However, by this moment the construction of ring-houses in Moscow was ended. Report goes that this was done in the interests of tourism, because the original design attracted more tourists.
Thus, in Moscow only two ring-houses remained, located at the addresses Nezhinskaya, 13 and Dovzhenko, 6.
