Located on Prospekt Mira (VDNKH metro station), the Museum of Cosmonautics presents the history of Soviet space achievements in a highly captivating and entertaining way. The fancy building alone with the rocket monument on its roof is mind-blowing!
You will see a lot of unique exhibits — from stuffed bodies of the famous space dogs Belka and Strelka and belongings of Yuri Gagarin to missiles, satellites and fragments of meteorites.
Since the museum is very large, prepare to spend from 2 to 3 hours there if you want to see everything properly.
There is a movie theater in the museum (designed as a futuristic spaceship) where they show interesting documentaries.
