The Fishing Village is a modern symbol of Kaliningrad. It looks the houses were built a long time ago. But it is not true, the date of construction is 2006.
Long ago, when Kaliningrad was called Königsberg, fishermen used to live here. There was once an old market here known for the quality of its goods throughout Germany. Now it is a very touristy place with nice views, souvenir shops, cafes and hotels.
In addition to admiring the views, you can climb the Lighthouse Tower (133 steps) to look at the spire of the Cathedral and the city below it.
Another option is to take a boat and ride along the river.
