The price of Sapsan trains (like all other Russian trains) highly depends on the date of departure and the date of purchace. So, what are the ways to find Sapsan tickets cheaper?

1. Buy tickets in advance. At the start of sales (60 days before), a ticket costs half the price than usual. This price lasts no more than a day until a certain number of tickets are purchased. Then the price increases by about 25% of the original, then once more, and so on.

2. When buying tickets of a particular class, pay attention to the price of a ticket to a higher class. Changes in cost for each of the classes occur separately. As a rule, Economy class tickets sold out first - therefore, the price rises faster.

3. Keep track of discounts and promotions. From time to time, special promotions are valid for Sapsan tickets.
