St. Petersburg will open a river tour route to Veliky Novgorod
It is planned to open a new river route Petersburg - Veliky Novgorod in 2020.
It is assumed that the passenger flow of the new route from St. Petersburg through the Neva Dubrovka, the Oreshek fortress and Staraya Ladoga in the Leningrad Region to Veliky Novgorod will be upto 10 thousand people a year.
As the Neva.Today portal recalls, the project for the construction of a network of river berths in settlements popular among tourists was launched in 2017. New berths appeared in Staraya Ladoga, Svirstroy, on Orekhovy Island at the source of the Neva and Kirishi. In addition, in August, the pier appeared in the village of Dubrovka in the Vsevolozhsk district, construction is underway in the village of Gruzino, Novgorod Region.
A berth project is being prepared in Veliky Novgorod, after which it is planned to begin construction of passenger berths near the city of Sortavala, as well as in the settlements of Lahdenpohja and Khiydenselga of the Republic of Karelia.
